A scout in Corfu for Crooked Chef

In September 2023 Screenlight Pictures looked at Corfu as one possible location for Crooked Chef, a romantic gangster comedy set mainly in Australia, with scenes in the Mediterranean.

Writer-director Kosta Nikas met Angela Krokidi of the Ionian Film Office and walked the Old Town. He has described Corfu’s stone and variety as a different look from the whitewashed islands most audiences expect.

The film remains in development. Nikas has also spoken about The Funeral, a first Greek-language feature he would like to shoot in Greece.
